Fr. John Auer - Pastor

Fr. John was ordained on May 19, 1979 after receiving a Masters in Divinity. He joined the Diocese of Colorado Springs, when it was formed in 1984. After several years he attended Loyola in Chicago and received a Masters in Pastoral Studies. In 2004 he studied in Rome at the Pontifical North American College for a semester. He has served the Colorado Springs Diocese in a variety of positions.

Formerly he served as Pastor of St. Paul Parish in Colorado Springs, before becoming Pastor of St Mark Church on July 26, 2008. Fr. John also serves as Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Council 1498 and as an Outreach Commission staff resource.

Deacon Garrett Christnacht

One of our own parishioners, Deacon Garrett, was ordained to the Deaconate in 2006 after four years of preparation. Bishop Sheridan has assigned him to assist our pastor, Fr. John.

Tim Rohl - Director of Liturgy & Music

Tim is responsible for altar servers, sanctuary setup, pastoral choir and musicians, environment and arts, greeters, lectors, ushers, liturgy commission, sacristans, and audio/video technicians. Tim is also the staff resource to the Worship Commission.

Jennifer Garcia - Business Manager

As Business Manager, Jennifer is responsible for the many duties and personnel required to keep the office running smoothly - bulletins, collection counters, finance council, grocery certificates, mailings, parish hospitality, refreshments, telephone callers, and web site. Jennifer is also the staff resource to the Administration Commission.

Amanda Mortus - Youth Minister

As our new Youth Minister, Amanda is responsible for both the High School Youth Group (TUFF) and Middle School Youth Group (RAFT). This also includes Sacramental preparation for Confirmation, starting in 8th grade. A Denver area native, Amanda earned her Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Belmont Abbey College near Charlotte, NC, with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry.

Activities include: catechesis, social gatherings, service opportunities, and retreats.

Julie Adam - Office Receptionist

As part-time receptionist, Julie is responsible for answering and/or routing the many phone calls made to the parish, scheduling meetings on the master calendar, greeting visitors to the office, and just about any other office duties that are in need of support.

Ron Lesnick - Maintenance Supervisor

As maintenance supervisor, Ron is responsible for maintaining the church building and surrounding landscape. He contacts and schedules contracted or warranty personnel as needed to keep the many structural and mechanical/electrical systems functioning properly.

Jeremy Harris - Parish Coordinator (Interim)

Responsibilities include facilitating coordination and communication between the pastor, Pastoral Council, staff, and commissions. Typical roles include linking, assessment, visioning, and funneling to give direction to each aspect of parish life. Jeremy is serving in a temporary, part-time basis through October 2010.    More Info
